Today we will find out some of the details of Obama's economic plan and I'm irritable about it. If the details are as clear as his campaign, we'll know about as much as we do now. The countdown is on. 43 minutes until we hear about Obama's new economic plan to save... wait, what is it that we are trying to save again? The little guy? The guy on "Main Street"?
You know, the Dems have a way with being able to sway public opinion in such a way we should admire. They can chastise conservatives for being "For the rich", "For Big Business" and furthermore, "For more spending". Then in the same breath, push to the point of cohersion (with a pinch of blackmail thrown in for good measure?) for BILLIONS of dollars to be given to businesses.... all in the name of economic rescue, and on behalf of, the "little guy". (Did anyone notice that the Republicans were mostly against it?)
Liberals have railed against Bush for spending, spending, and more spending. Always with the added zinger of mentioning the surplus gained in the Clinton administration. Yet, here we sit with TRILLIONS of dollars of debt and the Dems want to continue to spend more.... but not to rescue the little guy that works at the auto factory. They feel that AIG is more justified in receiving the money. They feel the banks are a better candidate. I'm just glad that they are not in charge of the organ transplant committee. Don't get me wrong, I'm not for company bailouts in most cases, I just find it highly interesting who they deem worthy of our (taxpayers) money.
The few details that we do have of the plan, echo FDR's New Deal, just in Obamaconomic language. All of these programs, these spending plans, cost money! Don't tell me Obama is for "Change" if in that you are implying that Bush has spent too much. Obamaconomics calls for MORE spending. The only "Change" Obama is going to represent is what's left of your paycheck after your taxed to death for all his so called progressive ideas.
Oh wait, one more thing before I go.... I got so caught up in the excitement of "Change", I forgot to mention... Watch what the stock market does this afternoon. It should be an exciting show!
